Ditch the discomfort, and try out these home remedies..

Nasal Polyps are noncancerous polyps in the shape of a teardrop that can form along the nasal passage and sinus area. They are known to be the most common form of tumors found in the nasal cavity. Many times, nasal polyps can be associated with sinus and allergy problems and do not give off any symptoms and require little to no treatment. Nasal polyps should not be confused with polyps of the colon or bladder, as these can be very dangerous if not treated long term. You may notice nasal polyps if your sinuses are blocked and will not drain properly. Many times, the nasal polyps will cause an accumulation of thick mucus in the sinuses and become infected.

“Scientists don't yet fully understand what causes nasal polyps. It's not clear why for some people, ongoing inflammation triggers polyp formation and not in others. The inflammation occurs in the fluid producing lining (mucous membrane) of your nose and sinuses. There's some evidence that people who develop polyps have a different immune system response and different chemical markers in their mucous membranes than do those who don't develop polyps.”
