    The key to the Ultimate Candida Diet is sticking with low-calorie whole foods, which help fight candida, resulting in less fatigue and fewer yeast infections. While weight loss isn't the main goal of this diet, it is an added bonus for many people as the diet naturally lowers the amount of calories they consume each day.

    While there are some things to like about The Ultimate Candida Diet, it simply isn't a book that is going to help people whose number one focus is weight loss. They certainly should get healthier if they follow the meal plan laid out in the book, but weight loss would be slow and short term unless they find another diet to use alongside this one.

    Do Dieters Lose Weight on The Ultimate Candida Diet?

    Since The Ultimate Candida Diet does recommend lower calorie meals, people should see some weight loss in the first couple of weeks. The diet is very restrictive, though, and it wasn't designed to be used for more than a couple of months. In fact, Lisa Richards recommends that people use the book as a cleanse more than as a full-time diet.

    The Ultimate Candida Diet also lacks any type of workout program, so weight loss will be limited unless dieters are already using another exercise regimen. The diet doesn't have a lot of foods with a high amount of protein, so it is pretty obvious that weight loss isn't one of the focal points of The Ultimate Candida Diet.

    Level of Effort

    Any diet that takes away most of what the typical dieter likes to eat will be a tough diet to complete, and The Ultimate Candida Diet is very restrictive. There are a lot of recipes in the book, but most of them contain ingredients that come from specialty stores and take a while to cook. The fact that all of these meals are replacing what people are used to eating means that most dieters simply won't be able to stick with the diet for the full 60 days.

    Conclusion

    For people who have Candida Albicans, The Ultimate Candida Diet is a great $40 investment because it has been proven to help eradicate it. However, anyone who wants to lose weight will need to either use another diet alongside this one, or choose a more complete diet that focuses on both candida and weight loss equally.

    Using the pills may be easy, but losing weight is going to be difficult for most people unless they find another program to use alongside it. Since the company doesn't provide nutritional or exercise tips, it is left up to the dieter to find programs that will help maximize their weight loss.

    Since advanced testing hasn't been completed on the Stacker 3 supplement, it is hard to know just how much it can aid in dieters' weight loss attempts. This means that first-time dieters may think that they are losing weight thanks to the supplements, but the real credit should probably go to the nutrition and exercise plan that they are using. Unless a dieter knows that they want to use the ingredients that are in the  Stacker 3 supplements, chances are they would be better off finding a more complete weight loss program.

    The Isagenix Company is a MLM company which has higher product cost versus many other diet programs. This is because it has several levels of representatives, and each one has to make some money from each sale. The program offers several options, either a 9-day cleanse or 30 day weight loss and fat burning system. All of these packages are liquids or powders you take with water. They also have nutritional bars you can use in between your shakes to help fill up your hunger. You can have one low calorie meal per day. This program really lowers calories, for some it may be too low.

    Is Isagenix Really an Effective Weight Loss Program?

    In spite of all the products they recommend, it is a very low calorie diet; under 1250 calories per day. The Isagenix program combines shakes, pills and bars with one simple protein and vegetable meal per day. Unfortunately, there are not too many actual food recipes, only a few examples.

    This may be a good short term way to lose a few pounds. Long term when you go back to eating again….you still have not learned how to prepare healthy food, or how to watch your calories or be able to keep off those lost pounds.  Anything under 1250 calories, should not be used longer than two weeks, due to possible nutritional deficiencies. So…how healthy is this diet for your health?

    It is better for an individual to learn more about food and how to eat, an advantage for future weight maintenance. Do you prefer using daily prepackaged bars and supplements for the rest of your dieting days; really what a lifestyle of eating!

    Is Real Science Behind It?

    There are some older studies, from 2009 and 2012, not very well controlled and poor methodology. Possibly biased results since these studies were apparently paid for by Isagenix. Information about the study is hard to explain since there were so many variables for these studies that final results are unclear.

    Other studies have found 95% of people who diet with similar meal replacement shakes, will regain lost weight within one to five years.

    Pricing May Be “Over the Top” Expense

    Unless you’re willing and able to spend a high dollar for a weight program monthly, this probably may be too expensive for many individuals compared to other programs. Depending on your choice the Cleanse product to the Isagenix Protein Shake range in price from $ 200 to $500 monthly, this is also on auto-delivery.

    Nutritional Value….Supplements are Natural?

    Yes, Isagenix does include information about their nutritional supplements; they look like good products. Though a few ingredients are in question as to how “Natural” they are, this has become a growing concern with many of us concerned citizens.  The word Natural just sounds good, but it has no real definition.

    There are many ingredients that should be natural. But check out the added sugars, soy, artificial and synthetic preservatives. Her are a few to avoid in these products:

    • Soy lecithin is a GMO processed, unfermented soy additive which has possible health risks.
    • Sugars, fructose and maltodextrin, these sugars from corn or rice are low quality and can lead to obesity, diabetes or liver problems.
    • Canola oil is not natural, it is a cost cutting GMO oil that can cause inflammation and kidney problems.

    Safety and Ease of Use

    Even though there are some who lose weight on this program, it is because of extreme low calorie and you do not eat much real food. Being so low in calories is hard for many to sustain for the long term.

    Safety seems to be OK if in the short term, unless you already have sugar problems or other chronic health disorders.

    Weight loss makes you feel good, so you try continuing with the program as long as you can. Long term this kind of program could affect your health.

    Pros and Cons

    Higher cost may be beneficial financially, if they are a representative of this MLM business.

    If you are a “on the go” type of eater, not a cook, it works well for you. So easy to just blend those shakes and go. Less prep time!

    They do have support calls for any questions. The representatives usually answer and do recommendations. There are some people questioning if they are educated enough to answer these reliably.

    How many products, powders or pills do you want to take daily?

    Conclusion

    If you need to drop a dress size for an upcoming wedding or want to just lose a few pounds, the Isagenix diet is a viable alternative for you, if you are disciplined enough to drastically reduce your calories and have better than average mixology skills. If, however, you want a long-term weight loss management strategy, Isagenix is not such a good choice for you. Moreover, many people may find that attempting to use so many products for the rest of their lives quickly becomes costly and tedious. Additionally, the Isagenix program is a multi-level marketing scheme, similar to Avon, so aggressive marketing and customer cultivation may not suit dieter’s family and friends.

    Perhaps it is best to invest a monthly fee into a vegetable garden or a local farmers market. Then you can try some of the recipes from menus provided from a good diet program.

    The first phase of the Almased Synergy Diet has dieters replacing all three of their daily meals with the company's shakes. Phase Two allows people to eat a solid breakfast and lunch, but their dinner will be replaced with a shake. The final phase allows the dieter to get back to eating three solid meals per day, but they have to drink a shake with one of those meals.

    The thing to like most about the Almased Synergy Diet is that it encourages lowering the amount of calories their customers consume. What's hard to figure out is just how much credit should be given to the company since it seems like most of the weight loss will be due to people making drastic changes to their normal diets.

    Do Dieters Lose Weight on the Almased Synergy Diet?

    If dieters do exactly as they are instructed to do while on the Almased Synergy Diet, there is a very good chance that they will lose weight during the first two weeks. The shakes will have something to do with that, but it will mostly be due to eating a lot less food than they are used to eating.

    Long-term weight loss on the Almased Synergy Diet will come down to each dieter's willingness to stick to very strict calorie counts. Those who aren't able to keep using the shakes or don;t incorporate some type of workout plan into their lives will have a hard time keeping the weight off.

    Level of Effort

    Just about every meal replacement diet on the market is going to be hard to stick with, and that is certainly the case with the Almased Synergy Diet. Most people want to be able to replace their fatty meals with something healthier, so having to give up one or more of their meals altogether may be too challenging for some.

    Conclusion

    The Almased Synergy Diet is pretty expensive at $40 per container. The fact that it is also a hard diet to complete and is more costly than other, similar diets makes it hard to recommend it. On top of being a difficult weight loss program, the Almased Synergy Diet is also missing some of the key elements that most dieters want included in their diet plans, including a workout program. Most people will want to opt for another product.

    The Juice Lady’s Turbo Diet book is a great guide for people who want to switch to a raw, vegetarian diet, but even then it can't be considered a complete diet program. Adding some healthy juices to one's diet is never a bad idea, but this diet is simply too tough for the typical dieter and lacks many of the elements that most people will be looking for in their weight loss programs.

    Made popular by the BBC documentary “Eat, Fast and Live Longer,” the 5:2 Diet is a weight loss plan that was designed to make dieting an easier process for first-timers. The key to the diet is allowing people to eat normally for the majority of the week, and then greatly reduce their caloric intake for the rest.
    The 5:2 Diet allows dieters to consume the recommended amount of calories (2,000 for women, 2,500 for men) for five days a week, but they are then limited to just 25 percent for the other two. The diet does come with a list of healthy foods to eat on those two fasting days, but that list is pretty limited.

    Do Dieters Lose Weight on the 5:2 Diet?

    There is a very good chance that people will be able to lose weight on the 5:2 Diet, but it is more of a short term fix. The reason for this is because the diet simply isn't healthy enough to be a long-term weight loss solution. On top of that, the majority of people who attempt to take on the 5:2 Diet won't be able to make it more than two weeks because they will end up giving up.

    Level of Effort

    Even though the 5:2 Diet was created to make dieting easier on people, the truth is that most dieters will actually find this weight loss plan tougher than most of the other diets out there. The reason for this is because consuming 600 or fewer calories even two days a week is extremely hard to do. Even by following the recommended 5:2 Diet menu for those fasting days will leave most dieters feeling very hungry for the majority of the day.
    The 5:2 Diet also lacks any type of workout plan, which will make losing weight even tougher. Most people who are dieting for the first time will not know what exercise plan to implement, which means that they will have to do a lot of research to find one that works with the 5:2 Diet.

    There are a few good dieting ideas that come with the 5:2 Diet, but the overall product is just too unsafe and difficult. It is hard to understand why this diet is recommended for people who are dieting for the first time considering that fasting is known as one of the most difficult ways to lose weight.
    The 5:2 Diet is very similar to many of the diets that came out in the 1980's, but these days there are so many healthier, more effective weight loss plans to choose from. Maybe one in 10 people will find some success with the 5:2 Diet, but chances are those same people would have had similar success with other diet plans.

    Fast Metabolism Diet is based on the diet book by nutritionist and wellness consultant Haylie Pomroy. Published in 2013, the book put forward some drastic deviations from conventional weight loss regimen. The 28-day diet plan promises to increase your metabolism and put it into fat-burning mode. It is all about eating well and helping the body burn more fat for energy, rather than starving to lose weight. The diet is presented in a very structured way with separate meal plans prescribed for the different phases involved. There is no severe calorie restriction in any of the phases, but there are several food restrictions, including cutting out wheat and dairy completely.

    How the Fast Metabolism Diet Works

    Fat Metabolism Diet is a 3-phase diet plan like several other weight loss diets out there. But one major difference is that the phases are not linear, with one following the other, as you generally find in other diet plans. They are cyclical, each of the 3 phases being 2-3 days long and repeating every week. The meal plans for these phases vary as follows:

    Phase 1: (Day 1 and Day 2) – High in carbohydrates with moderate amount of protein and low fat.

    Called ‘Unwind,’ this phase is meant to put our body at ease, since carbohydrates are easy to digest and are the body’s energy source of choice.

    Phase 2: (Day 3 and Day 4) – high in protein and vegetables, but low in both carbohydrates and fat.

    This phase is called ‘Unlock’ and is projected as promoting the utilization of stored fat because intake of dietary fats and carbohydrates is severely limited.

    Phase 3: (Days 5-7) – High in healthy fats with moderate amounts of carbohydrates and protein. It includes some fruit too. This phase is known as ‘Unleash’ and you are expected to continue fat burning at full swing, both the stored fat and the good fats you are taking.

    This phase should ideally coincide with weekends because it allows larger variety and liberal portions of all food groups as compared to the other two phases. Well, that makes Monday the best day to start the Phase1.

    Many weight loss diets advocate calorie confusion to keep the body from adapting to calorie restriction. But, as you can see, Fast Metabolism Diet is based on nutrient confusion, and prescribes varying amounts of protein, fat, and carbohydrates on different days.

    During each phase, the portion sizes depend on how many pounds you want to lose. Contrary to expectation, larger portion sizes are recommended if one has more pounds to lose, and the portion sizes reduce as you progress in your weight loss journey. For example, the basic portion sizes are meant for people who have 20 pounds or less to lose, but if you need to lose more than 20 pounds, you should take basic portion size X 1½. Those who have over 40 pounds to lose should double their intake of vegetables along with 1½ times the basic portion of other foods at every meal.

    The basic plan consists of 4 weeks of cycling through the 3 phases, but if you still have extra weight after this period, the program can be repeated until you reach the target weight.     The nutritional profile of the diet is a healthy mix of all macronutrients, so it is unlikely that dieters would have any nutritional deficiencies while they’re on this diet. You get sufficient amounts of protein, carbohydrates and fats on a weekly basis even though daily intake may vary. Although fruit juices and dried fruit are excluded, one may get sufficient supply of vitamins, minerals, and fiber from vegetables and the fresh fruits allowed in each phase.

    The Cost Factor

    The Fast Metabolism Diet may appear to be quite cheap since the main expense involved is buying the diet book, which is available for as little as $5 for the kindle version. Even if you want the additional support offered by the cook book by the same author, it doesn’t cost a lot. But the actual cost of the diet is hidden; it is in getting all the meals according to the diet guidelines, while avoiding a host of common food ingredients like wheat, corn and soy products, sugar as well as all sweeteners, fruit juices, coffee, alcohol etc.

    Do Dieters Lose Weight on the Fast Metabolism Diet?

    Those who follow the Fast Metabolism Diet in letter and spirit obviously shed some pounds, but most of it can be attributed to cutting out sugar, processed foods, dairy and grains such as corn and wheat. For instance, the basic Phase 2 menu includes 4oz meat or 6oz fish or ½ cup of cooked beans per meal along with unlimited vegetables and a slice of fruit per meal, which sounds like a good deal. But, you have to prepare these items without the use of any oil or fats and the vegetables and fruit have to be phase appropriate. And the only phase-appropriate fruit in this phase is lime and lemon.

    Conclusion

    Fast Metabolism Diet has several sensible guidelines for healthy eating and optimum nutrition, and it may be worth buying the diet book as well as the cookbook. However, it may not produce the quick weight loss results that one would expect from this extremely detail-oriented diet. Although the diet claims to be adaptable to vegetarian and vegan preferences, very few food choices are actually available, even with the concessions on dairy consumption.  The diet may be healthy, but not very practical for busy people. One may have to cook in large amounts to have all the meals ready throughout the week. People with lots of time and a whole lot of patience to cook the meals according to the menu can give it a try.

FODMAPs are found in many foods such as wheat and other grains, some dairy products, some vegetables and some fruits. Because the above carbohydrates are poorly absorbed, they increase luminal water and induce gas production, so the target of a low “FODMAPs” diet is to minimize their intake and avoid the osmotic effects and gases. The success of this dietary approach depends on detailed knowledge about the FODMAP composition of food commonly consumed.

This mainly happens when patients try to swap processed foods enriched with FODMAPS to fruits and vegetables. Low FODMAP diet means less simple carbohydrate consumption and this is another factor that can lead to weight loss. High fructose corn syrup is often considered as one of the causes of obesity, so the decreased consumption could help someone’s efforts on weight loss.

    The low FODMAP diet is usually recommended for 2-6 weeks. Although you have to limit the consumption of some certain foods, there are a number of good alternatives.     The Specific Carbohydrate Diet is a diet that was created by pediatrician Sidney V. Haas back in the 1920's, and then became popular by Elaine Gottschall, whose child was a patient of Haas. Originally, the Specific Carbohydrate Diet was intended to help people who had Irritable Bowel Syndrome or one of the other common intestinal diseases, but it later became just as well known as a weight loss plan.

    As the name suggests, only some carbohydrates are supposed to be consumed when using the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. The theory behind the diet is that if people remove carbs that don’t actually help their bodies, they will have fewer digestive issues and will become healthier.

    Unfortunately, not only does the Specific Carbohydrate Diet not have any backing from the scientific community, there is also a chance that it is an unhealthy diet because of the nutritional elements that it lacks.

    Do Dieters Lose Weight on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet?

    How much weight someone will lose on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet depends on just how much they eat, but there is a good chance that all dieters will lose at least some weight when they use this plan. The reason being it is a very low calorie diet because the majority of foods that don't have “bad” carbs will have a lower calorie count than the foods that do.

    The problem with the Specific Carbohydrate Diet is that its only proven effectiveness for people looking to lose weight is that it just lowers the amount of calories that dieters eat. That goal can be achieved with a number of other diets, so there really doesn't seem to be anything special about the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, and it also happens to come with some health risks.

    Like other diets that have people eat only certain foods, the Specific Carbohydrate Diet can be tough on anyone who is used to eating what they enjoy. It isn't very hard at first because those early motivations can help dieters get over their food cravings, but after a few weeks it can be very hard to stick with this diet plan.

    The Specific Carbohydrate Diet also doesn't have any type of exercise plan to follow, so dieters have to come up with their own to compliment their new low-calorie diets. This only makes the diet harder to stick to, which is why there are far more failures than successes when it comes to the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.

    The Specific Carbohydrate Diet may have seemed like a good idea back when it was created, but these days there are far better diets out there that are known to actually be healthy diets. On top of being a risky diet to follow, the Specific Carbohydrate Diet book is also currently $60, which is pretty expensive considering that it is an unproven diet with no exercise plan.
